Sometimes, they are a work in progress. Sometimes I go back to revisit an old one. I am learning new techniques, and experimenting with different media…..oil, pastel, pen and ink and gesso, water soluble crayon and pencils; acrylics….I still have to try colored ink...
Random blobs and strokes usually yield figures and structures. So, I like to use up leftover paint by wiping off my brushes on a surface, and then finding the image within. Sometimes I have a specific subject in mind, but often it is just stream of consciousness.
